Interior Design - In the
category of reconstruction, represented by 12 projects, the jury took
the most complex reconstruction Fara
Café Klentnice in Moravia, he
realized Ing. Architect John Stephen Marek.
Campus
Cafe in Klentnice parish lies on the northern slope of Palava and
consists of several buildings - the old rectory, old school, wood
finishing barns, new pavilion with sale and a spa.
In the middle of the court building, the terrace and garden.
Original building features are changed, the character and authenticity
are preserved in buildings and underlined also added a modern extension. Thus a surprisingly café in a village in the middle of paradise Palava.
Late Baroque building of the rectory of the reign of Joseph II.
now has a completely different content from the original: instead of
homes, offices and facilities there was a priest with a background cafe
and small museum ethnographer CAL. Interestingly, the original layout with interconnecting rooms infallibly operate in the new operation.
The parsonage was renovated thoroughly historical way. Original facade was repaired and refurbished the original painting, flooring and fill holes.
The interior is also conducted in this spirit, non-violent, authored in
part designed, in part, selected from the Antique and junk to create an
authentic environment.
At the site of the former Cotes new building is a wooden house.
The shape of the building is typical for this area, and archetypal -
Longitudinal house with a gable roof, the size scale respects the
surrounding historic architecture and its form is abstract. Vertical slats larch facade creates a poetic background for walnut drop shadows in the yard.
The building has a unique substructure of massive, cross laminated
timber panels, the interior is wooden and there are two types of wood -
spruce and oak.
The old school was converted into a library, background area and then another attic accommodation. Loft is built clay. On the terrace was placed new equestrian statue of St.
George, the historic garden is planted with fruit trees and species in
its center of gravity set with a copy of the statue of the Madonna
Klentnické, which is found here.
Evaluation of the jury
The jury appreciated the complexity of the renovation project,
harmoniously combining historic buildings with a modern extension. Connects two parts of the same atmosphere.
New building, although the archetypal shape and uses traditional
materials, it excels in a number of original and innovative themes.
The result of a prolonged recovery process is a living area, its scale,
diversity and expression while respecting the evolving character of the
place.
